All-in-one mobile payment devices to offer latest in smart transactions technology, compatible with NFC products like Apple Pay and Google Wallet
Toronto, Ontario, (March 16, 2015) – Coming on the heels of a successful October launch in the U.S., Total Merchant Services today announced that they will now offer Ingenico Group’s smart terminals in Canada for their free terminal placement programs. The introduction of all-in-one payment countertop and mobile devices means small- and mid-sized Canadian businesses will have the latest in high-speed and multi-platform transaction technology and NFC capabilities, easily accepting contactless payment such as Apple Pay and Google Wallet.

Total will initially roll out to merchants Ingenico Group’s iWL255 wireless, iWL252 Bluetooth and iCT250 countertop terminals. These leading-edge, color screen devices offer NFC capabilities, are compatible with both high-speed and dial-up connections and support credit and PIN debit transactions with an internal PIN pad. These terminals also have the ability to auto-batch and support gift cards. Total’s iWL255 model offers wireless 3G and 2G connectivity with Bell™, Rogers™ and Telus™ wireless carriers. Ingenico’s Telium 2 technology is the world-leader for high-speed transaction approval.
